Cyprus travel guide
On Cyprus, all beaches are public and free of charge according to Visit Cyprus, and the official nature trails are free for public use. Our guides to Ayia Napa, Protaras, Paralimni, Paphos and the rest of the island list the free places area by area, with the extras that are charged, the date we checked each place and the source behind it.

How we check
We list a place as free only when an official source says so, or describes it as a public place such as a beach, a promenade, a nature trail or a village square: Visit Cyprus, the Department of Forests, the Department of Antiquities, a municipality or another government site. Tripadvisor, blogs and booking sites do not count as evidence, and what we cannot confirm stays out of the guide.
Every place shows the date we last checked it, and the main official source of each entry is linked. Extras such as sunbeds are marked as charged; we give an amount only for a fixed official fee, because sunbed prices vary by operator, and opening hours appear only where a source gives them. Please check on site before you go.
Explorio also sells paid activities on this website, which is why the guide shows them in a clearly marked box, separate from the free places.
